Pastor Neil White joined Rejoice in September 2013. He grew up in San Antonio and attended Texas A&M University where he was a part of the Corps of Cadets and Aggie Band. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, Pastor Neil served as an officer with the US Army for 5 years, primarily serving with 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment.
During his time in the Army, Neil felt a calling to serve in the ministry and upon completion of his time, he attended Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. Neil has previously served congregations in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Edmond, Oklahoma, and Papillion, Nebraska.
Neil met his wife Carissa at the Stephen Ministry Leader course in Dallas in July 2014 and they were married in June of 2015. Neil has two children from a previous marriage: Aren (27) and Jey (24). Neil loves to cook and grill and smokes an excellent pulled pork and brisket. An avid reader and unapologetic geek, he enjoys learning and discussing all kinds of things. He is a Los Angeles Chargers fan, which may not make a lot of sense for a Texas native, as well as a fan of his alma mater Texas A&M. Gig 'em!
In 2021 Neil published Creative Words: Creativity, Creation, and the Power of Words, a collection of poetry. He also writes regularly on biblical interpretation and creativity on his blog, signoftherose.org.
