Born and raised in a Christian family in Memphis, TN, Kevin started playing guitar at age 13 and played in a variety of bands into early adulthood. God blessed him with his daughter Madison in 1994, and his son Blake in 1997. Kevin and his family moved to Frisco in 1998, with a job opportunity in management utilizing his master’s degree in exercise physiology. After a hiatus for a few years, a series of friendships led Kevin to begin playing music again and he was introduced to contemporary Christian music. Within a short time he was asked to lead worship for the first time in 2004, for a new startup service on Saturday evenings at Grace Avenue UMC in Frisco, where he continued to lead worship until early 2019. During these years he participated in playing music for many special events such as Relay for Life, wrote contemporary Christian songs that were often used in worship and played in different pop/rock cover bands in venues all around DFW. Kevin married his wife Sheryn in 2012 and they live in Frisco as empty nesters, but with five dogs who are treated like kids. He continues to enjoy writing and playing music of all kinds, spending time with his family, photography, boating and fishing.
